Our Directors...
John Tooth FCCA CTA TEP
John has spent his 30 plus year career in the accountancy profession, initially in the local office of a major international firm where he was responsible for advising growing businesses on their financial affairs. Since joining Paish Tooth in 1991 he has continued his role as a family business advisor, whilst at the same time utilising his additional qualification as a Chartered Tax Advisor to provide high-level tax advice.
John lives with his wife Tania in a small village in the Severn Vale, where he is active socially and, when time allows, is a keen cyclist and canoeist.
Patrick Cooper FCCA
Patrick joined Paish Tooth in April 2000 bringing with him over 24 years experience in general practice. After training with the Oxford office of Haines Watts, he qualified in 1985 and moved to London. Following 4 years as an Audit Manager with Stoy Hayward he joined a Thames Valley based practice. Patrick's experience ranges from the audit of large quoted groups to small family firms. This background of company accounts, audit assurance and corporate tax compliance allows Patrick to provide all-round business support to his growing portfolio of corporate clients.
Patrick lives in the Cotswolds where he enjoys spending weekends working on his garden and getting involved in village life.

Paul Cox, Accounts and Audit Manager
Paul joined Paish Tooth in April 2007 following 5 years spent with a practice in his home town of Lydney. A Business Studies course gave Paul a taste of accountancy and he secured a trainee position with a local firm, where he passed his AAT exams.
Having joined Paish Tooth, Paul began studying for his ACCA exams in late 2007 and passed his final exams in June 2010. Paul still lives in his home town of Lydney where when time permits he enjoys mountain biking, walking, watching his beloved Arsenal and spending time with family.
Tim Poole, Accounts and Audit Manager
Tim joined Paish Tooth in November 2010 after 2 years working as an accountant in industry and 20 years in practice, more recently as an audit manager at a large local firm having trained with a national firm prior to this. Tim's experience ranges from the audit of large multi-national PLCs to small owner managed businesses together with specialist knowledge of charities, schools and pension schemes.
Outside of work Tim tries to avoid DIY at all costs by spending much of his time throwing himself downhill on his mountain bike as this is cheaper than following his dream of being a MotoGP star.
Karen Kay, Tax Manager
Karen joined Paish Tooth in October 2010 and has a diverse knowledge after 25 years of general practice experience. She qualified in AAT in 1985 becoming a member in 1989 and a fellow member in 2010. She is also part Qualified ACCA and has recently undertaken her professional tax exams passing her ATT in 2010 and is now continuing her tax studies with CIOT to qualify as a Chartered Tax Advisor. Karen's past experience also includes running a successful Management & Training Consultancy with her partner.
Karen lives in the Cotswolds where she enjoys walking her dog. She is also an avid horse rider and now a very young and proud grandmother.
