Our Charity Partner for 2017

Jan 25, 2017

The team at Paish Tooth are delighted to announce that we have chosen to support Cheltenham Animal Shelter as our charity of the year for 2017. This is the first time that Paish Tooth have supported one charity throughout the year, and we’re very excited to be working alongside the Shelter and fundraising for such a worthy cause.

Cheltenham Animal Shelter rescues and re-homes unwanted and abandoned stray cats, dogs and small animals from across Gloucestershire, and has been doing so for over 90 years. They look after approximately 1000 animals a year, and aim to educate the public in caring for animals as well as to ensure that every animal finds a new home which is right for them.

The Shelter relies on the generosity of businesses and the public to keep the charity operating. Paish Tooth will be supporting them through a variety of fundraising efforts which will take place throughout the year.

The first of these is the sponsorship of one of the 40 dog kennels at the Shelter, to help towards the cost of cleaning and heating the kennel and feeding each of the dogs who come to stay in it. Our first resident is Ruby, a beautiful Black Brindle Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Along with this we’ll be running a team volunteering day, spent helping to clean out and feed all the animals and spend time socialising with them. In July we shall be supporting the Shelter during their annual Summer Open Day, as well as at their Festive Evening in December. Plus we’re planning a fun event in October, so look out for more information later on this year!

James Clay, Fundraising Manager for Cheltenham Animal Shelter said:

“Here at the Shelter we are really excited for the coming year, working with Paish Tooth who have already brought some really exciting fundraising suggestions to us. We’re excited to have them on board for our Open Day and Festive Evening, and with a new event planned for October it’s set to be a wonderful year of working together.”

Nuala Beardsall, Marketing Manager at Paish Tooth commented:

“The team at Paish Tooth are delighted to be supporting Cheltenham Animal Shelter throughout this year. Having spent time volunteering with the Shelter we have seen first hand what brilliant work they do, both looking after and re-homing the animals in their care. We’re really excited about our fundraising plans to support the Shelter in 2017.”

Visit the Cheltenham Animal Shelter website to find out more about the superb work that this charity does. Hopefully through our fundraising efforts we’ll be able to raise lots of money to help this worthwhile cause.
