Changes to paying HMRC
Nov 03, 2017
We’d like to make you aware of a notification we’ve recently received from HMRC, which states that they are making changes to how taxpayers can make payments to the Revenue.
The option to make payments using the Post Office service is being withdrawn from 15 December 2017. Plus, from 13 January 2018, HMRC will no longer accept any payments via personal credit cards. You will still be able to pay using a debit card, or a corporate credit card.
So the options for paying HMRC can be summarised as follows:
- Direct debit
- Online or telephone banking (including Faster Payments, BACS and CHAPS)
There is more information about paying HMRC on the Gov.uk website.
